Curriculum

We believe that all pupils at Compass School have the ability to develop into confident learners, progress in their learning and fulfil their potential. The school consistently promotes positive attitudes, confidence, independence and perseverance. Pupil self-esteem is raised through recognition of success and achievement.

The aim of our curriculum is to provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum which, as far as possible, fulfils the National Curriculum, whilst being sufficiently flexible to address the diverse and complex needs of the pupils referred to this school.

We seek to deliver a curriculum that supports every young person to make progress in ‘learning to learn’ and in academic learning such that successful transition can be made to mainstream or special school or into post 16 provisions.

Please check our Online Safety section here which will show you what we discuss in the Curriculum in regard to Online Safety as well as what you can do at home.
