Since October 2024, Compass School has started to prepare to be a Nurturing school and obtain the National Nurturing Schools Award.

As such, all of our staff have now received basic training in Nurture to support our ongoing work with young people with additional staff receiving further training throughout 2024-2025 to build on this.

In addition, we have 2 members of staff who are attending ongoing training with Nurture UK during 2024 – 2026. 

At Compass School we endeavour to provide a high-quality nurturing environment that encompasses the 6 principles of nurture.  The aim is to respond to the social, emotional and mental health needs of our young people.
